Photo take after a "west pocket competition" and therefor is also the Webley revolver there even though it's not a semiauto.

Early classic semiautomatic Pistols was produced in an old world by tradesmen of great pride and low wages. Timeconsuming filing wasent much of a problem.

Should some of those guns be produced today, they would cost considerable prices. Some are unfortunatly produced in modern times like the Lugerpistols, but the quality is inferior of both materials and workmanship.

If you like older well made mechanical pieces like motorbikes and swiss watches, you surely will be amazed by the precision and finnish of guns like the Luger, Mauser and Dreyse to meantion a few.

Many of those guns held low prices when they was produced, and they sold to a very big public. This was of course before the intrudution of gunlaws and many people with a need of selfprotection bought those.

It was also customary in many armies that the officers should keep them self with guns and equipment.
